"Horton
Commercial Refrigeration's installation crews are among
the most professional we've ever worked with. Not only
do they know how to do the job, but they understand the
importance of safety on the job. "

The
Difference is in the De tails...
For walk-in installation, we use utmost care to make sure the unit
will last properly. Some of the differences in our installation and
others:
- We use
lasers to square and level the walls. This prevents cracking
and leaking for optimal performance.
- Only new
ACR hard copper is used on the refrigeration lines - never
used or recycled.
- We use
one-inch thick wall insultube suction line pipe insulation.
- Ray-Chem
self-regulating ceramic heat trace cable is installed on
freezer drain lines which insures the cable never shorts
out.
- All penetrations
are sealed with urethane foam or 100% USDA-approved silicone.
- We high-pressure
nitrogen and leak-test our refrigeration systems and pull
micro vacuums.
- We use
only virgin new refrigerant - we never use reclaimed refrigerant.
A
Wide Range of Installations
We
do large jobs...from large multiple-walk-ins for redundant refrigeration
at Alcon Labs in Ft. Worth, a large commodity walk-in of over
10,000 sq. ft. for Frisco ISD, or 24 walk-ins for individual
schools at Tyler ISD...and small jobs - such as small wine-coolers
in private residences to specialty refrigeration for a family
farm.
Much of our
work involves installing new construction for school districts,
including:
